PRINCIPLES
What You Should Know Before You Decide:
Service & Hospitality Solutions applies access and equity principles and provides this information, advice and support services to identify and achieve your desired learning outcomes.
All nationally accredited training is open to students with Australian Resident status, or international students with a current student visa at another educational institution. Students of all backgrounds and denominations, with reasonable literacy and numeracy in English are welcome to enrol.
A full information pack will be supplied to those enrolling in any of our Nationally Accredited Courses at the time of their enrolment and information is readily available for review at our office, or by just calling. We are happy to email you a copy.
House Principles
In every good training environment, both trainer and trainee display mutual respect. Students have the right to be trained professionally and to assure this the following applies to all courses.
The intensity of the learning process requires 100% attendance in order to receive the qualifications of the course.
Everybody pays fees to attend and student behaviour will have a direct affect on everybody in the class.
Consideration will be given to reschedule into another course should sickness cause significant absence. Application must be in writing to avoid forfeiting your opportunity to complete the missed sections(s).
Certificates:
You will receive a 'Statement of Attainment' for nationally recognised training, which includes:
THHGHS01B Follow workplace hygiene procedures
THHBFB09B Provide responsible service of alcohol
RUV4512A Conduct companion animal training classes
Courses, which are not national units of competency, attract a 'Certificate of Attendance'. No certificates will be issued for incomplete modules or unattended classes. Refer to each course for the applicable certificates.
Assessments:
Skills will be assessed in a variety of ways, depending on the course and expectations for that skill's usage in the environment. These assessments are explained at the commencement of every course and a valid, reliable, fair and flexible. Just as in real life, assessments will help identify areas of strength and areas for improvement. Students are assessed in the context of the course they are attending and will assist both trainer and student as they proceed through the course.
Support Services:
We offer a supportive environment for all our students - your success is our success and will do all possible to ensure that all students achieve, assisting wherever possible with securing your educational goals. You should let us know as early as possible if there is anything that may affect your learning. If you have any learning difficulties e.g., reading / writing or understanding English please let us know in advance so we can make plans to assist you as much as possible. Student Information:
When you enrol into any course, you may access all policies that may affect you whilst doing your course. These policies include our Discrimination policy; Complaints & Appeals policy, Discipline policy, Privacy policy, our OH&S policy and others that ensure your experience will be an enjoyable, safe and a positive learning experience. Your trainer will also discuss some of these items with you ensuring transparency at all times.
Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
Everything has been provided for you to enjoy a meaningful learning experience. We invite feedback on your experience at the end of every course - did it meet expectations? All constructive criticism (both positive and negative) is treated with integrity and it is only through your feedback that we can constantly strive for excellence and improvement.
Privacy Policy
Individually identifiable information about you is not wilfully disclosed to any third party by Service & Hospitality Solutions Pty Ltd or any of its trading divisions without first receiving your permission.
We know that you are concerned about your privacy. The information you provide about yourself or your business, such as name, postal / e-mail address or other data, is used for internal data records only. All your personal information will be sourced by Service & Hospitality Solutions Pty Ltd staff members only.
We may need to periodically supply relevant information about Nationally Accredited Students to OTTE, a requirement of Registered Training Organisations, - using the appropriate electronic format.
Information supplied in relation to an enrolment or orders for training or support materials (books etc) will be used for that purpose only.
By completing the Student Feedback / Evaluation form, you give Service & Hospitality Solutions Pty Ltd the right to use any comment made on the course feedback sheets for publication in their brochure and/or website, however the information will be limited to the use of the 'quote' plus initials (if available) and the date the feedback was received.
Service & Hospitality Solutions Pty Ltd WILL NOT SELL YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ANY OUTSIDE INTERESTS.
